The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum to mop it is important to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home and find furniture and other obstacles. It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. However, it's important to keep in mind that it has recurring costs, such as mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

The best robot vacuum is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan that it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able capture a lot of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was quiet and had some lovely jingles to signalled when it was beginning or finished its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the requirement to switch out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuums best is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, but it also has distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock, which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic cleaner and mop vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxy units.
