World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to raise the item level of weapons and armor that are equippable. This increases the effectiveness of the equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button with a an arrow for rerolling players can reroll it into another upgradeable item. This will alter the layout of the game and allow players to select up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for an item of level 1 similar to it. Rerolled items won't retain their status or the amount of resources needed to upgrade them.

The maximum upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's tier and its quality. Common items can be upgraded up to the maximum level of six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine. The item upgrades are added to the base statistics of the item. This means that they won't grow more after a certain point.
