Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrade by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current item level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that are used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They are purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with a The button will display the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item Level upgrade and the current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for example.
