Cheap Single Pushchairs

The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and don't need a stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the ultimate lightweight stroller, both single seater buggy for sale city dwellers as for jet-setters. This is thanks to its super nimble maneuverability and fold which fits in the overhead baggage of an aircraft. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

It can be used as a pram from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who want a versatile stroller wagon. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be converted from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then select which mode is best for their adventure. The wagon can accommodate two or more children between 6 months to 5 years old. It has a huge storage basket that can hold everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This might not be suitable for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as other wagons that we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to maneuver however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a second stroller that's priced reasonably. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also comes with a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of the push and turn it performed better than the majority of other cheap single buggy strollers we test, but it's not the easiest to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. The sunshades on it were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger sunshades.

It took us under three minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. All of the components required tools. However, it is missing some essential features we believe you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair, and is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is designed to accommodate babies from birth to around 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a seat and a carrycot with only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

The seat reclines with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. This compact pushchair can handle everyday bumps and doorways effortlessly.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or let them swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. On our walk along the stony path we allowed them to swivel and it handled this fairly well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we've test, but since it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels sturdy and well-made. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It's easy to carry, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's deep enough for an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents across the world. It's a single stroller with bench seat made of aluminum which can be used from the baby's first days to beyond. It is a standout model with many unique features, such as the capacity of the seat to be flipped between parent and world facing, a large UPF50+ canopy that has an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension which takes the sting out of rough terrain. It was simple to push and our tester was able to maneuver the car through the narrow streets.

It folds in four simple steps, and locks automatically without hassle. It also stands and can be rolled around for easier transportation in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system comes included with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors included. The brakes have only one action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to use and comes with a great dual suspension. It can be folded by one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress built in that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat has two large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can face each other or can be turned around to face their parents, potentially reducing sibling fights over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a huge gear tray with a bottle holder as well as snack tray. It also comes with a compact stand fold and automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who love to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can buy for your child and offers amazing safety features, including five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It also comes with an innovative twist hand brake that's different from the lever type that is found on other models.

The seat is padded and offers a large area to sit. However the seat's depth is smaller than that of other joggers (it's just about 10 inches") The storage bin comes with a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats as of yet, but you can use it right from the start by purchasing adapters for most seats by brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and is available in multiple languages.
