Item UpgradesUpgrades to an item are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.
Upgrading gear in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests Each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next
item upgrading by a specific amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's base stats increases as it is upgraded. This value is the total of all of its leveled up benefits (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive dependent on who you employ and what you decide to do. This is due to the fact that many perks have to be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.
It can also be used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to the lower levels). Players can see their average item level in their character sheet.
Utilizing the level of an item can help players evaluate the potency of gear when deciding to purchase or sell. It's a sign of the item's condition and its quality. The level of an item can be used to evaluate items when looking at a vendor's inventory.
On your PC, you can see the level of the item by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are various theories about how the item level calculation is done. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It is based on the fact that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in sockets increase the value of the item. This can lead to a calculated item's ilvl that is typically very close to Blizzard's real item level.
This is not the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped can alter its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher value than items dropped in lower-level instances.
Item Stats
Item stats are a big component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats of a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modification, which are themselves increased by the player's skill.
Upgrades to the item add by boosting certain stats on the item. The rarity of an
item upgrader mod determines its upgrade cost. For instance, a gray or white item can only be upgraded once, whereas an item with rare tiers can be upgraded many times, at higher costs.
Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and they come in all shapes and sizes. The affixes can do things like give the item additional damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing the cooldowns) or make the item unique by putting an exclusive name to the item.
Presently, all affixes are able to be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button with the arrows that circle. It will cost a set amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other methods of rerolling.
Players can choose to upgrade item (
browse around this site) an item with a specific stat or reroll the affixes. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat within that range unless they are an item that is unique or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.
Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or choose which stats to increase. But, like base equipment, this would need to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't show all possible stats gained or lost at once.
item level upgrade Luck
The Luck stat of a player boosts the probability of obtaining items and the properties that are created by loot and the strength of these properties. It doesn't, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player the chance to upgrade their gear earlier in the game. This is particularly advantageous for early game runs, since players tend to prioritize defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.
Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each level and can be further increased through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons come with a default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to grant an additional +40 Luck, or to increase the Luck of the item up to 140.
Certain items, like the Hollow-infused weapon can also be crafted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that is able to deal damage by 5%. These items can be found in the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Upgrades to items are a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to increase the success rate of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it fails.
The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..
The Luck of an item may influence the success of an upgrade. Each
Best item upgrade has an overall success rate of 25 percent and each item that has Luck increases this chance by five percent.
It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory therefore enchantment glints and other effects may be masked by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
